Heavenly Father,
I thank You for my existence, for the simple miracle of awareness, for the consciousness of something greater than myself. I thank You not only for what I know, but also for what I do not understand. I thank You for what I can see, and for all that remains unseen.
When I become lost in myself, I try to figure life out on my own—and I always fall short. I seek first what I can do, and that path quickly reaches its limits. And yet, just in time, You welcome me back to where I never truly left.
It feels strange to speak in opposites, but that is the tension of the self—the constant tug and pull of the ego, spending so much energy on what was never meant to lead. Still, You remain steady, waiting, patient, loving… always here.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
Closing Prayer
Lord, quiet the noise of my striving and bring me back to Your presence. Teach me to trust You more than my own understanding, and to rest in the truth that I am already held. Amen.
