See the Good That’s Happening
I recently read The Secret, and I’ll be honest—I agree with most of it, but not all of it.
The idea that what we focus on shapes our experience of life… that resonates. But the version of it that turns into chasing money, status, or external gain—it doesn’t land for me. Wanting a million dollars just to have it feels shallow.
What I’m after is simpler—and honestly, deeper:
peace.
Not a perfect life, but a steady inner state where I’m okay with what’s in front of me. Where my experience of life matches something grounded within me, not something I’m constantly trying to control outside of me.
Where the book does hit home is this:
believe it’s already happening.
Not in a fantasy way—but in a way that aligns your mind with truth instead of fear.
Healing is happening
God is guiding me toward peace
I am capable of courage
I am stronger than the problems I face—real or imagined
When I focus there, something shifts.
I’m not trying to force life to give me something…
I’m starting to recognize what’s already unfolding.
And maybe that’s the real work:
Not chasing a better life—
but learning to see the good that’s already happening.

Closing Prayer
Father,
Help me to see clearly what is already good, already working, already unfolding in my life.
Quiet the voice in me that searches for what’s missing, and strengthen the part of me that trusts You.
Renew my mind so I don’t get pulled into fear, doubt, or imagined problems.
Ground me in Your peace—not based on circumstances, but rooted in You.
Remind me that healing is happening, that growth is happening, and that I am not alone in any of it.
Give me the courage to walk forward, even when I feel uncomfortable, knowing You are guiding each step.
Let me see with faith, not fear.
Let me live with trust, not control.
Amen.
