Honest to God

John 8:32 – “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Telling the truth begins with us—but more importantly, with God.

The most honest connection we can have is with Him. From that foundation, honesty extends to ourselves, shaping every aspect of our lives, especially our spiritual fitness.

We must be truthful about our thoughts, motives, recognizing how they manifest in our actions. If we truly believe in God, we must also acknowledge that He sees all—both in our minds and in the moments hidden from others.

In my experience, one of the hardest truths to admit is our own weakness. We are fallible, prone to fear, and quick to justify our inadequacies with excuses. Yet, it is in these very moments—when we are weak, uncertain, and struggling—that God meets us with grace. He does not condemn us for our frailty; rather, He calls us to trust in Him instead of relying on our own limited understanding.

God does not look down on us for having weaknesses. His concern is when we choose to live by our own terms, shaping truth to fit our desires and justifying the means to an end.

Let the truth be spoken in prayer, for only God knows the depths of our hearts and souls. He does not fault us for our shortcomings—He understands our human nature. Faith is the bridge that leads us beyond this world, guiding us through His grace, the only true path forward.
