Through the Eyes of Faith

It’s all about perspective.

They say perception is reality…

So, what is your reality?

Today, I saw an older man walking slowly beside another elderly man using a walker. Their pace was so slow, the walk itself almost seemed pointless, maybe even sad.

But then I paused—and asked myself: What am I really seeing?

And here’s what came to me…

I saw effort—intentional, deliberate, from how they dressed to go out, to each careful step they took.

I saw commitment—from both of them. One committed to the journey, the other to the person beside him.

I saw a passing of the torch—from father to son, and now from son to father.

I saw love—so deep and quiet it nearly moved me to tears.

And most of all, I saw God—in the stillness, in the care, in the connection.

“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light.” — Matthew 6:22 (NIV)

My brothers and sisters, let’s change how we see.

Life is not a chore. It is not an inconvenience.

It is filled with love—so much love that God is constantly revealing Himself, if only we look closely enough.
