A Brief Passage to the Eternal
Loving God,
let me experience what is necessary with appreciation—
not only the good, but the challenges too.
Let me face the world with confidence,
as if I can already see the story unfolding before me,
and know that the glory is Yours.
Romans 8:28
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose."
I know You speak to me—
in dreams, in quiet awakenings,
and even when I am too distracted to listen.
Show me not by sight alone,
but by meaning, by presence,
by the steady pulse of Your truth.
Give me the awareness to be where I am,
rooted in Your loving grace.
Let my gratitude rise from the miracle of existence itself.
This world matters, yes—
but only through the lens of the spirit,
a brief passageway on the journey to the eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen,
since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
Let me share Your love with those around me,
even when it feels uncomfortable,
even when I don’t feel qualified.
Loving God, look past my unconscious moments,
my drift and my doubt.
See me as You see me—
not from my blemishes,
but from the love You placed within me,
in this world and the next.
Here I am
Here I am, Lord.
Have me.
Shape me.
Use me.
Let my thoughts be steadied by Your truth,
my voice be guided by Your compassion,
and my steps be directed by Your will.
Let nothing in this world take priority over Your presence.
And may my life reflect the love
that has already saved me.
Amen.
