Who among us has someone we can count on? A parent, a spouse, a dear friend—someone whose love helps us feel safe when life is uncertain. We know how much it means to hear, “I’m here. We’ll get through this together.”
Now consider the confidence we can place in God. His care reaches beyond what any person can promise. He sees what we cannot see, hears the prayers we struggle to put into words, and stays with us through every season.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)
That verse meets us where trust is hardest: when we do not understand. It is easy to say we trust God when the road is clear. Faith grows deeper when we take the next step while the road ahead is still hidden. We pray, make the best decision we can, and trust Him with what lies beyond our sight.
Confidence in God does not mean every outcome will be the one we hoped for. It means we can face an uncertain outcome knowing He will be with us in it. God says, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee.” — Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
So when worry rises, I want to remember where my confidence rests. I may not know how everything will be okay. I can trust the One who promises to be with me, strengthen me, and help me through.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to trust You with my whole heart. When I cannot see the way forward, quiet my fear and help me take the next step in faith. Remind me that Your presence is steady, even when my circumstances are not. Give me the courage to do what is mine to do today, and the peace to place tomorrow in Your hands. Amen.
